White Sapphire
About white sapphire
White Sapphire (Safed Pukhraj) is a natural colourless corundum â the same mineral as Blue Sapphire and Yellow Sapphire, without the colour. In Vedic astrology it is the leading substitute for diamond and is worn for Shukra (Venus), associated with relationships, comfort, artistry and material ease. Every Safed Pukhraj here is 100% natural, government lab certified and priced per ratti.
Why White Sapphire instead of diamond
A jyotish-quality diamond of any useful weight is beyond most budgets. White Sapphire is a genuinely hard, durable corundum â 9 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond â and is an accepted Venus stone in Vedic practice at a small fraction of the cost. It is also far more affordable than diamond for the larger weights astrology often prescribes.
White Sapphire FAQ
Answers to the questions our customers ask us most
How many ratti should I wear?
Commonly 4 to 8 ratti for adults, subject to your astrologer's reading.
Is White Sapphire the same as White Zircon?
No. White Zircon is a different, softer mineral with more fire and a lower price; White Sapphire is corundum, harder and more durable for daily wear. Both are accepted Venus substitutes, and the certificate on every listing states the species.
Which day, finger and metal?
Traditionally set in silver, platinum or white gold and worn on the ring or middle finger of the working hand, first worn on a Friday morning after energising.
