GEMSTONES
About gemstones
Shop 100% natural, government lab certified gemstones from Tushar Gems — a Gurugram gem house trading fine coloured stones since 1998. Every stone here is photographed exactly as it is, sold with its laboratory report, and priced per ratti so you can compare rates honestly rather than guess.
The nine Navratna stones
Vedic astrology assigns one primary gemstone to each of the nine planets: Ruby (Manik) for Surya, Pearl (Moti) for Chandra, Red Coral (Moonga) for Mangal, Emerald (Panna) for Budh, Yellow Sapphire (Pukhraj) for Guru, Diamond for Shukra, Blue Sapphire (Neelam) for Shani, Hessonite (Gomed) for Rahu and Cat's Eye (Lehsunia) for Ketu.
Substitutes and semi-precious stones
Where a Navratna stone is out of budget, Vedic practice accepts substitutes: Iolite (Neeli) and Amethyst for Shani, Citrine (Sunela) for Guru, Peridot and Green Onyx for Budh, Moonstone for Chandra, Garnet for Surya and Mangal, and White Zircon or White Sapphire for Shukra. We also stock Turquoise (Firoza), Lapis Lazuli, Pyrite, Tiger Eye and Rose Quartz.
How we sell gemstones differently
- One photograph, one stone. Loose stones are one-of-a-kind. The image on the listing is the stone that is packed for you — never a stock picture.
- Certificate number in the title. You can read the report number before you order and match it to the certificate that arrives.
- Treatment stated openly. Heating, oiling and enhancement are normal in the trade. Hiding them is not. We list them.
- Per-ratti pricing with both carat and ratti weight shown, so you can compare our rate against anyone else's.
- Free gemstone recommendation before you buy, and a physical store in Gurugram if you would rather see the stone in person.
Buying certified gemstones online — FAQ
Answers to the questions our customers ask us most
What does government lab certified mean?
It means the stone has been tested by a laboratory recognised by the Government of India and issued a report confirming its identity, weight, dimensions and any treatment. Our stones carry reports from IIGJ Research & Laboratories (GJEPC India), the International Gemological Center and other approved labs.
Is a ratti the same as a carat?
No. One ratti is approximately 0.91 carat, so a 5-carat stone is roughly 5.5 ratti. Indian astrological practice prescribes weight in ratti while gem laboratories certify in carats, which is why every listing here shows both.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes — insured delivery pan-India, with free shipping on prepaid orders above ₹999. Our store at Gold Souk Mall, Sector 43, Gurugram is open all seven days, 11 AM to 8 PM.
How do I choose the right stone?
Start from your birth chart rather than a sun-sign chart. If you do not have a reading, use our free gemstone recommendation service and our team will guide you before you spend anything.
