Gemstones in India are priced per ratti: the rate for one ratti multiplied by the weight of the stone. The rate depends on the stone, its origin, colour, clarity and whether it is treated. The table below is taken from the certified natural gemstones in stock at Tushar Gems today, so you can see what each stone really costs before you visit our showroom in Karol Bagh, Delhi or Gold Souk Mall, Gurugram.

What changes the price of a gemstone?
Origin. A Burma ruby or Ceylon blue sapphire costs many times more than the same weight from other mines. Colour and clarity. An even, bright colour with few visible inclusions raises the rate. Treatment. Unheated, untreated stones are priced higher than heated ones. Weight. Bigger stones are rarer, so the per-ratti rate often goes up as the weight goes up. Certificate. Every certified stone at Tushar Gems comes with a lab report you can verify by its number.
