Why do two stones of the same ratti have different prices?
Because the per-ratti rate changes with quality. A clean, well-coloured, untreated stone from a sought-after origin costs many times more than a lighter, included or treated stone of the same weight.
Is the price per ratti or per carat?
Both are used. One carat is about 1.10 ratti, and one ratti is about 0.91 carat. Every listing at Tushar Gems shows weight in both ratti and carat.
Do untreated gemstones cost more?
Yes. Unheated, untreated stones are rarer, so they usually cost more than heated or oiled stones of similar look. Treatment should always be stated on the lab report.
