Frequently asked questions
What is Gemwix?
Gemwix is a gemstone brand launched by Tushar Gems in 2025. Instead of loose stones sold out of a paper packet at a price decided across the counter, Gemwix stones come graded, sealed, certified and with a printed MRP. You can browse the range in the Gemwix collection.
What does “sealed pack” mean?
Each Gemwix stone is packed in a tamper-proof sealed box. The seal tells you that the stone inside is the same stone the certificate describes, and that nobody has swapped or handled it since it was packed.
What is inside a Gemwix pack?
The natural gemstone and its lab certificate from IIGJ Research & Laboratories (under GJEPC). The certificate carries a report number, the stone’s weight and measurements, a photograph, and any treatment.
How do I check that the certificate is genuine?
Type the report number from the certificate into the laboratory’s own website and check that the photograph, weight and measurements match the stone in your hand. Our Verify a Gemstone Certificate page shows you how, step by step.
What does MRP mean on a gemstone?
MRP is the maximum retail price printed on the pack. It is the same printed price for every customer, whether you buy online or in our stores, so you do not have to bargain or wonder whether someone else paid less.
Why does Gemwix print the price instead of quoting it at the counter?
At many gemstone counters, one packet can produce a ₹25,000 stone, a ₹50,000 stone and a ₹1 lakh stone, depending on the budget the customer mentions. That leaves the buyer confused about what the stone is really worth. A graded stone with a printed price removes that doubt. Our founder Ravi Kapoor writes more about this in A Packet of Biscuits Has an MRP. Why Doesn’t Your Gemstone?
What is the difference between Classic, Premium and Luxury?
They are grades. Classic covers accessible everyday stones, Premium offers superior colour and clarity, and Luxury is our finest material in colour, clarity and origin. Each grade has its own packaging:
- Classic: a printed window box, with the stone and certificate visible
- Premium: a grey soft-touch box
- Luxury: a wooden box with a hinged lid
Shop by grade: Classic · Premium · Luxury.
Are Gemwix stones treated?
Any treatment, such as heating, is stated on the certificate inside the pack. Treatment is a common, accepted practice in the gemstone trade; hiding it is not. At Tushar Gems, treated and untreated stones are kept separate and clearly labelled, so you always know which one you are buying.
What should I do if the seal looks damaged when my order arrives?
Check the seal before you open the pack. If it looks opened or damaged, do not open it. Take a photo and call or WhatsApp us on +91 95400 05349, and our team will help you. See our delivery and returns policy for details.
Can I get a Gemwix stone set in a ring or pendant?
Yes. Our in-house workshop can set your stone in silver, gold or panchdhatu, with an open-back setting so the stone touches the skin.
Where can I buy Gemwix?
Online in the Gemwix collection, with free shipping across India, or at our stores: Gold Souk Mall, Sector 43, Gurugram (open all seven days, 11 AM to 8 PM) and Beadon Pura, Karol Bagh, New Delhi (Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 8 PM).
Can jewellers and astrologers stock Gemwix?
